Obituary for William McIntosh
William Richard McIntosh was born in Tampa Florida on March 18th, 1945. He married his wife Sally Lou Jones on February 12th, 1966. Together they raised two boys Michael and Shannon in Dunedin, Florida.
He was part of the first graduating class of Dunedin High School in 1963. During his younger years he was involved in the International Order of DeMolay. He earned his Chevalier in 1965. As well as a Senior DeMolay, he earned his Legion of Honor in 1988 for his work as an advisor to young men in the order. He joined the Masons in 1974, and in 1978 he became the worshipful master of Dunedin F&AM Masonic Lodge #192. He also served as District Deputy to the Grand Master of Florida in 1998.
He worked for Pitney Bowes for 30 years maintaining not only postage machines but other electronic office equipment over the years. He was not only an avid hunter but also a family man that loved camping with his boys, a tradition he carried on with his grandsons.
Bill McIntosh passed away in his sleep on the morning of August 8th, 2017 after a recent battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife Sally, his sons Michael and Shannon, daughter-in-law Tiffany, and five grandchildren Zachary, Nicholas, Anthony, Sarah, and Katie. He will be sincerely missed by numerous Masonic brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters as well as friends. A memorial service will be held at the Dunedin Masonic Lodge at 1297 Michigan Boulevard Dunedin Florida on Saturday the 19th of August, 2017 at 1 p.m.
