Condolence: Uncle Jimmy - my lovable bear of a friend! How lucky I have been to have you and Sonya in my life, and my kids lives all these years- and how I have missed you both while you have been in Florida. This world has been a better place while we were fortunate to have you in it. How bravely you have fought challenges all these years. I love you dearly - and miss you so much! You are loved - Beth

Condolence: My younger brother was a good guy and a funny guy. Every time he and his wife came to dinner my black schnauzer would greet him by humping him most of the time. We both lived in Westchester and soon he got his wish and headed for Florida. Soon after that things went bad. He suffered for years and was unable to visit us in Georgia. His suffering is over and now in Gods hands.
Love, Ray

Condolence: My brother, my backup, my assist car, my friend! Jimmy and I go back to the early eighties cultivating a friendship on the west side of Chicago in the Filmore District. This was the murder capital of city back then. I had opportunities to see Jimmy react fearlessly in the face of pure evil and yet most tenderly comfort the young children when they were victims. When anyone would call for an assist, we were all comforted when we saw Jimmy arrive on the seen! You have a new beat working for the Lord now my brother, keep the streets of heaven safe for the the rest of us when we shall meet again at the Lords table in the Kingdom!!!

"The Final Inspection"

The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"

The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges
can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.

But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.

If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.

There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in the abyss."
